A Very Merry Christmas from Cheltenham Festivals...

'Tis just weeks before Christmas, and here at Cheltenham Festivals we're beginning to feel distinctly, well, Festive! To celebrate this jolliest of seasons we asked the stars of this year's Literature Festival to share with us a special Christmas Memory.

Every day of advent we'll be unwrapping a different Christmas Memory for your delight and delectation. And as an extra-special treat, every Festive-Friday we'll be hearing from our Festival Directors and giving away Festive-al prizes galore!

So sit back, grab a mince pie and unwrap a very special Festive-al memory...

3rd December: Jacqueline Wilson

Our third Christmas Memory comes from one of the country's best loved children's writers - Jacqueline Wilson.

We spoke to Jacqueline when she was in Cheltenham to talk about her latest book Emerald Star. Always a firm favourite with our younger festival-goers, Jacqueline spoke to a packed audience of young fans in the Main Hall.

We still have a fabulous Music Festival prize package up for grabs to one lucky winner. Just watch our Music Festival Director Meurig Bowen's Christmas Memory and answer a simple question by Thursday 6th December to enter...

  1. This did look amazing and I wish I had come to this festival as I love books. I think I will come next year and stay at hotels cheltenham for long weekend. I hope it will be sunny next time I come down.
